Medjugorje miracle: Video of Mary statue weeping

This is a video of a statue of Mary weeping. The statue, called Our Lady Grace, is found near Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the town of Tihaljina, in the church of St. Elijah. It gained importance because Father Jozo Zovko was sent to this church, after being released from prison. As people flocked to see Father Jozo, who had witnessed one of the Medjugorje apparitions, they were moved by the breathtakingly beautiful statue of Our Lady of Grace. Word and image spread of this statue’s beauty, and it soon came to be identified with Medjugorje.

Miraculous occurrences happen daily in and around Medjugorje, where grace pours down upon the earth like a gentle rain. Let us ponder why Our Lady is crying and seek to dry her tears with our lives.

I just returned from a one week pilgrimage to Lourdes, and I was very affected by the thousands of pilgrims there. I have been very inspired by the story of Bernadette and had planned this trip for a long time. The beauty of the statue of Our Lady of Grace in Tihaljina has also inspired me. I think Our Lady is shedding tears because of the widespread atheism in the world today.
