Medjugorje visionary Vicka on Irish television

On February 18th, 2011, Medjugorje visionary Vicka Ivankovic was a guest of the Late Late Show on Irish television (RTE1), with host Ryan Tubridy and Italian translator Manuella Spinelli. Vicka told the story of the moments leading up to her first apparition of Our Lady, and how she first thought that the other seers had lost it when they told her they were seeing the Mother of God. She spoke of the gift of her own suffering, and how Our Lady wants us to focus more on developing the inner beauty of our souls—to focus on love, and not so much on our outer beauty. She shared how Our Lady took her and the visionary Jacov to heaven and what she saw there and spoke briefly about the third Medjugorje secret. Throughout the interview, Vicka beamed her characteristically radiant smile, giving testimony to the love within her and her desire to share it with the world.

Video of Randall Sullivan sharing his miraculous Medjugorje conversion story on Oprah!

Randall Sullivan in the upcoming television series "Miracle Detectives"

Randall Sullivan is a former agnostic, raised by atheists, an Ivy Leaguer, the writer for The Rolling Stone Magazine, and author of several best-selling books, shared his miraculous moment of conversion in Medjugorje on December 6, 2010, on the Oprah Show. In this video clip, he speaks of how he met with the visionary, Mirjana, in Medjugorje, and then stormed out of her home in a fury—a non-believer for the last time. For just afterwards, he was to experience a transformative miracle on Cross Mountain.

Randall Sullivan is the author of the book, The Miracle Detective, which investigates the Medjugorje phenomenon from a scientific perspective, and as Stephen Ryan, the founder of ministryvalues.com puts it, he “basically grabs you by the throat and asks you to follow his path – take his journey – and then at the end of the voyage, he dares you to call him crazy. But you can’t. You are left with only two conclusions – either God exists – or scientists and atheists still have got some serious explaining to do. There are no other sensible conclusions one can reach. The book, unlike anything ever written, puts the burden back on the folks who think science and logic have all the answers.  He leaves the scientists suffocating, gasping for air.”

Mr. Sullivan will also be featured on the new one hour documentary series for OWN: the Oprah Winfrey Network, called “Miracle Detectives.” She episodes involve two investigators – one a believer (Sullivan), the other a scientist, who travel the globe to uncover answers to mysterious incidents.

Pope Benedict XVI encourages us social media and internet users

Like me, do you ever feel a little guilty about staying up late on Facebook or your own blog site, even though you’re doing it with the good intention of spreading the Gospel message? Do you fear the guilt of clicking away, as the clock reminds you that you aren’t paying enough attention to loved ones–that you probably should be praying? And the cyber-questions that your comments and postings create: Who is seeing what I write? Does anyone out there care? Am I helping to change the world, as I initially had hoped? –Those questions may never find their answers, at least in this life. But to those whom God is inspiring to sit in front of the computer for His sake, despite the development of bad posture, dry eyes, and carpel tunnel syndrome, keep the faith, for the Pope himself has given you his wholehearted blessing.

In today’s address on the occasion of the 45th World Day of Social Communications, Pope Benedict XVI encourages Christians to join the rapidly growing ranks and  developments in communications technology, particularly the internet. He doesn’t use the internet himself, but in his message, Truth, Proclamation and Authenticity of Life in the Digital Age, he writes:

“I would like then to invite Christians, confidently and with an informed and responsible creativity, to join the network of relationships which the digital era has made possible. This is not simply to satisfy the desire to be present, but because this network is an integral part of human life. The web is contributing to the development of new and more complex intellectual and spiritual horizons, new forms of shared awareness. In this field too we are called to proclaim our faith that Christ is God, the Saviour of humanity and of history, the one in whom all things find their fulfilment (cf. Eph 1:10). The proclamation of the Gospel requires a communication which is at once respectful and sensitive, which stimulates the heart and moves the conscience; one which reflects the example of the risen Jesus when he joined the disciples on the way to Emmaus (cf. Lk 24:13-35). By his approach to them, his dialogue with them, his way of gently drawing forth what was in their heart, they were led gradually to an understanding of the mystery.”

The Pope also acknowledges some of the dangers involved: “. . . the one-sidedness of the interaction, the tendency to communicate only some parts of one’s interior world, the risk of constructing a false image of oneself, which can become a form of self-indulgence.”

The Gospa never gave a public message concerning abortion. But in the 80’s she educated the youth of the prayer group on this matter. Here is what I gathered from it:

The Blessed Mother recommended to all not to judge these mothers, but to pray so that such mothers would no longer exist. She asked these young to do whatever is in their power to help these mothers to reconcile with God through Confession, and act towards them with much love and discretion. She also told Mirjana, “Abortion is a great sin, for it is killing a human being. God who is good forgives all the sins, but for this sin in particular He asks a great penance from the father and the mother of the child.”

Beautiful BBC TV documentary on Medjugorje

Click here to see  the BBC TV Documentary on Medjugorje

This beautiful documentary on Medugorje was shown recently on BBC TV in the United Kingdom. Since then, the Vatican, under the auspices of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the faith, in an unprecedented move, has taken the power out of the hands of the local bishops in Medjugorje to make any pronouncements about Medjugorje, and the Vatican investigation is under way.

This documentary is a snippet of the story of the approximately 25,000 pilgrimas from Northern Ireland who flock to the shrine of Medjugorje every year.

Shown in video segments, the full documentary lasts for an hour, so sit back, relax, enjoy the Irish brogue, (if you can understand it!), and let Our Lady’s love wash over you.

Video of miraculous photographs from Medjugorje

What an amazing collection of photographs, all from just a pilgrim’s one trip to Medjugorje! Heaven presents itself in the pictures. I recommend the first half of the video, which is remarkable, as the second half becomes more mundane.  Click here to see the video, which is featured on www.catholicanswers.com.

FYI: You will see orbs on some of the video’s photographs. These also showed up on different friends’ pictures on one of our trips to Medjugorje and are a common phenomenon on photographs taken there.  To see the miraculous orbs, which multiplied on pictures taken during one of Mirjana’s apparitions, click here to see the popular blog post, titled:

Message, 25. September 2010 “Dear children! Today I am with you and bless you all with my motherly blessing of peace, and I urge you to live your life of faith even more, because you are still weak and are not humble. I urge you, little children, to speak less and to work more on your personal conversion so that your witness may be fruitful. And may your life be unceasing prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call.” 09/2010

The Medjugorje conversion testimony of famous Spanish author, Maria Vallejo Nagera . . . on video!

In this video, Maria candidly tells her story of conversion, highlighting a transformative experience she had while in Medjugorje.

In just one brief moment, her whole life changed.

Speaking of her life before that moment, she says:

“I have to admit that at that time, even having been considered a Catholic all my life, my faith was tepid. I was a ‘Sunday Catholic’, always bored at the celebration of the Mass, not really understanding most of its parts, and always trying to make excuses to avoid going to the church. My parents had raised me Catholic, the schools I attended were Catholic, but no real feeling of God lived in our family or in our hearts. I like to describe my family as ‘social Catholics’: we attended Mass every Sunday, yes, but with no real feelings, only going through the motions, flowing with the Spanish Catholic crowd. If all of our friends and family members were churchgoers in Madrid, we were going to do the same no matter what. I remember trying fiercely to convince my two friends during that trendy lunch that they were going to explore a senseless, ridiculous way to approach God. We were rich, we were young, we were happy healthy mothers of beautiful children, we had attractive husbands that adored us. In other words, we had the world in our hands.”

Medjugorje miracle of the sun captured on video

The miracle of the sun is a common supernatural phenomenon in Medjugorje. It has been captured on video by many people from around the world. The video below is just one way people have seen the sun “dance” in the sky. Others report seeing colors fly off of the sun, or seeing it move from place to place in the sky. I myself, have twice been able to stare at the sun directly for several minutes, when I was on pilgrimage in Medjugorje–as could the people around me. What we saw was a black spinning disc, like a host, placed in front of the sun, with sun rays emanating outward behind it.

Here is a video of the sun in Medjugorje, which appeared to “flash,” captured on video by Italian pilgrims.

Eric Clapton and Pavarotti sing to the Virgin Mary

Eric Clapton wrote this most beautiful song — a heartfelt prayer to the Blessed Mother. In this benefit concert, watch how beautifully his prayer is expressed with the accompaniment of the great Italian opera singer Luciano Pavarotti.

Clapton’s prayer, is indeed real. In his painfully honest memoir, Clapton: The Autobiography, he elaborates on the beginnings of his prayer life — a 1987 rock-bottom moment at the rehab treatment center.

“I was in complete despair,” Clapton wrote. “In the privacy of my room, I begged for help. I had no notion who I thought I was talking to, I just knew that I had come to the end of my tether . . .  and, getting down on my knees, I surrendered. Within a few days I realized that . . . I had found a place to turn to, a place I’d always known was there but never really wanted, or needed, to believe in. From that day until this, I have never failed to pray in the morning, on my knees, asking for help, and at night, to express gratitude for my life and, most of all, for my sobriety. I choose to kneel because I feel I need to humble myself when I pray, and with my ego, this is the most I can do. If you are asking why I do all this, I will tell you . . . because it works, as simple as that.”
