Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, a close confidant of Pope Benedict XVI, lauded Medjugorje seers Ivan Dragicevic and Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti, as he welcomed them to St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna on September 23, according to an English translation of his remarks that was recently posted on YouTube. See below.

Cardinal Schönborn, a renowned intellectual of the Church, is the esteemed editor of the monumental Catechism of the Catholic Church – the greatest single reference work on Catholic doctrine today. He is also the author of numerous books including the four-volume series: Living the Catechism of the Catholic Church, From Death to Life, and Introduction to the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

The two visionaries came to the Cardinal’s cathedral in Vienna, with his approval, and there in the presence of a over-flowing crowd of people, Marija and Ivan, received an apparition of the Virgin Mary and shared their testimony of Mary’s messages over the years. Tens of thousands also shared the experience around the world, as the event was filmed and streamed live through the work of MaryTV at www.marytv.tv.

In the cardinal’s words, “Thank you for your service across so many years, for your work, for your service of being messengers of the Gospa [Our Lady],” the cardinal said. “You give us, you bring us children of this world, children of humanity, her love and her presence, and may God pay you back a hundredfold for what you are doing tirelessly.”
